Mrs. Eula Prior Neal
Mrs. Eula Prior Neal, 92, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2007, following an illness.
Mrs. Neal was born in Cedartown on March 7, 1915, to the late Mr. Joseph and Elizabeth Tumlin Prior. She was a member of Marietta Street Untited Methodist Church.
She graduated from Rome Colored High School in Rome in 1930 and was a member of of the UBS Society for many years. She was married to the late Mr. Arthur Lee Neal.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters, nieces, nephews and other family members.
She is survived by her children. James MacArthur (Elizabeth) of Anniston, Ala; Dorothy Ann Mundord (Henry) and Eddie Lee Neal, both of Cedartown, Amy Jean Foster (Joseph) of Anniston; Lary C. Neal, Sr. (Cheryl) of Cedartown; Sherrie Frances Jones (Percy) of Rockmart, and a daughter-in-law Iren Neal of Cedartown; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 11, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Marietta Street United Methodist Church, Cedartown with Rev. Anderson Epps and other ministers officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The Wright Memorial Mortuary in Rome had charge of the Arrangements.
