MRS. PEEK DIED WEDNESDAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Virginia Ann Peek, of Route 3, Cedartown, died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Lawton Estes, after an extended illness.
  Mrs. Peek was born in Coweta County, Georgia Oct. 15, 1861 and had spent all of her life in Haralson and Polk County.
  Her husband, Mr. W. T. Peek, preceded her in death in 1936.  She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptich Church of Haralson County.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lawton Estes of Cedartown, Mrs. Annie Barrett of College Park; four sons, Hiram Peek, James R. Peek of Cedartown, Joel Peek of Barnesville, GA and Alvie Peek of Felton; one brother M. T. Boyd of Rock Springs, GA; thirty-seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
  Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Young's Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. B. T. Blackmon officiating.  Interment will follow in Peek Cemetery near Antioch.
  The active pallbearers will be Forrest Phillips, Everett Peek, Gene Peek, Fred Boling, Everett Wigley, and Eual Peek.
  Honorary pallbearers will be Amos Adams, Edward Wood, W. A. Jarrett, Walt Elder, Othal Waddell, and Clifford Hollbrooks.
