MRS. W. G. REVILL DIES.
Death Came Last Night at Wesley Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. W. G. Revill, of Greenville, one of the most beloved women in the state, died last night at the Wesley Memorial Hospital. She had been sick for only a short while and her death comes as a shock to a host of friends throughout the country.
She was the widow of the late Hon. W. G. Revill, and at the time of her death was the sole owner of The Meriwether Vindicator, of Meriwether county. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. James W. Lee, of St. Louis; Mrs. C. H. Hughes, of Atlanta; Mrs. J. T. Eakes, of Gainesville, and Mrs. W. J. Waddy, of Cedartown; four brothers, Dr. L. S. Ledbetter, of Cedartown; Rev. C. M. Ledbetter, of Nashville, Ga.; Rev. S. B. Ledbetter, of Cartersville, and E. L. Ledbetter, of Decatur, and four children, Mrs. C. M. O'Hara, Mrs. R. J. Atkinson, Judge H. H. Revill, of Greenville, and Mrs. W. A. Mallory, of Athens. Mrs. Revill was the daughter of Rev. L. L. Ledbetter, one of the first members of the North Georgia conference. She graduated from LaGrange Female college, with first honors, and was known throughout the state as a woman of great literary ability.
She was born in Cedartown and spent the greater part of her life in Georgia. the body will be sent to Greenville for funeral and interment. (Atlanta Constitution, 5 July 1917)
