Mrs. Troy Fuqua Ruff
Mrs. Troy Fuqua Ruff, age 88 of Rome, formerly of Rockmart, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009.
Mrs. Ruff was born on June 11, 1920 in Bartow County, GA and was the daughter of the late Clifford Fuqua, Sr. and the late Emma Smith Fuqua. She retired from General Motors Corporation and was a member of the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church of Rome. Mrs. Ruff was preceded in death by her husband, George Ruff to whom she married on January 1, 1939; three brothers, Ralph Fuqua, Ed Fuqua and James Fuqua; and two sisters, Eunice Cole and Lucille Johnson.
Survivors include three brothers, Clifford Fuqua, Jr. and wife Marcie of Rome, Marvin Fuqua and wife Leila of Rockmart and Jim Fuqua and wife Doris of Rockmart; a sister-in-law, Nellie Fuqua of Rockmart; and a brother-in-law, J. R. Cole of Rockmart.
Graveside services for Mrs. Ruff will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 11th at 3:00 p.m. in the New Prospect Church Cemetery with Rev. Mac McCurry and Rev. Clyde Hampton officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Hugh Gary, Jack Gary, Carl Brock, Jeff Fuqua, Drew Fuqua and Jerry Lambert.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Troy Fuqua Ruff.
