Ninette Sargent

Antoinette "Ninette" Cecile Jenni Sargent, 79, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at the age of 79.

Mrs. Sargent was born March 1, 1928 in Montreal Canada, to Rudoff and Aimee Delagneau Jenni.

She and her husband Gordon, lived in Cedartown for 29 years.

Mrs. Sargent was known for her dedicated community service with the Red Cross, the Samaritan House Community Free Lunch program, Polk County Historical Society, and her involvement with Harpst's Home, and the Polk County Historical Society.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cedartown and served as elder and Sunday School teacher. She supported many mission-related activities with the Presbyterian Women. She worked as a church secretary for many congregations during her lifetime, including Cedartown's Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter Sally and son-inlaw Paul Nachlas of Hummelstown, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Laurie Sargent of Ames, Iowa. Five grandchildren also survive.

A celebration of life will be held at the Presbyterian Church in March.
