Mr. Glenn Ladale Smith
Mr. Glenn Ladale Smith, age 61 of Williams Road, Rockmart passed away on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008. Mr. Smith was born on May 13, 1947 in Polk County, son of Edna Deems Smith Conner and the late Ernest Clusty Smith. He was owner and operator of Glenn’s Upholstery Shop in Rockmart, loved to deer hunt and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Smith and Charles Smith. Survivors included his mother, Edna Deems Smith Conner of Cedartown; wife, Donna Morgan Smith of Rockmart to whom he married on June 12, 1980; three sons, Scott Smith and wife Melissa of Texas, Bryan Smith of Rockmart and Wayne Lyles and wife Rebekah of Cedartown; a daughter, Ashley Childers of Aragon; a brother, Timmy Tucker and wife Tina of Cedartown; and two sisters, Lisa Weaver of Cedartown and Sherry Morgan and husband Denver of Tallapoosa; and a granddaughter, Morgan Adams. Funeral services for Mr. Smith were held on Wednesday, December 31st at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Fu-neral Home with Rev. Robert Pyles officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of Live Oak Cemetery. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Marvin Morgan, Ronald Morgan, Denver Morgan, Todd Morgan, Ken Compton and Randy Henson. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
