Mr. James H. Smith
Mr. James H. Smith, age 71, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was born March 16, 1937 in Polk County, Georgia, the son of Calep and Maggie Smith. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Margaret Davis and Sherry Pruitt. Family survivors include wife, Anne Edge Smith; son, Michael Smith of Cedartown; and daughter, Melinda Smith Rogers of Rome; brothers, Albert Smith and Phillip Smith. Three grandchildren, Michael Smith of Utah; Kevin Hampton of Cedartown; Kristi Robbins of Rome; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. James H. Smith will be conducted on Friday, March 21, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Webb and Rev. Ray Hopkins officiating. The interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery. The following gentlemen are pallbearers: Michael Smith, Terry Burns, Ricky Rainey, Kevin Hampton, Frankie Woods, William Blankenship, and Steven Bailey. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
