James Walter Smith

James Walter Smith, Plainwell, MI, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008. James was born August 21, 1958 in Avon Park, FL, a son of George and Rosemary (Brandt) Smith. He lived in Florida, where he was employed as a Park Ranger for the State of Florida at the Myakka River State Park for 21 years, before moving to the Plainwell area two years ago. James is survived by his wife, Teri Ellen Smith of Plainwell; his sons, Matthew and Nathaniel of Plainwell; his parents, George and Rosemary Smith of Sarasota, FL; his sister, Roseanna (Karl Tremmel) Goodman of South Pasadena, FL; two brothers, Steven (Debbie) Smith of Bradenton, FL and Richard Smith of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for his children's future education. www.langelands.com
This is my nephew, his father is George W. Smith, Jr. grandfather, George Washington Smith, Sr. my father.
