Mrs. Celestia Virginia Williams Wheeler
Mrs. Celestia Virginia Williams Wheeler, age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA & formerly of Cedartown, GA passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008 following an extended illness. Mrs. Wheeler was born on March 2, 1920 in Polk Co. to the Late Willis C. & Cora Lee Wethington Williams.
She was retired from the Eastman-Kodak Co. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. She was a lifetime member of the Antioch Baptist Church, a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class and was a past member of the Eastern Star. An avid reader, she also loved embroidering as a past time.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband, Albert Russell Wheeler, Infant Daughter, Winfrey Virginia Eaves, Son in Law, James Chester Atkins and six Siblings.
Virginia Wheeler is survived by her Son and Daughter in law, Russell and Patsy Wheeler of Rockmart, Ga., Daughter, Catherine Atkins of Lawrenceville, Ga., Brother and Sister in law, Charles W. and Maxie Williams of Orlando, Fl., Grandchildren, Russ and Regina Atkins, Tod and Vanessa Wheeler and Tara Wheeler. Great Grandchildren, Tyler Atkins, Melissa Atkins, Branton Wheeler and Sara Wheeler. Extended Family, Kenneth, Shirley and Richard Patterson of Cumming, Ga. A number of Nieces, Nephews and other Relatives also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Virginia Wheeler will be conducted on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive Friends on Monday, January 14, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home.
The following Gentlemen have been asked to serve as Pallbearers, Tony McGraw, Tod Wheeler, Terry Williams, Bob Anderson, Richard Patterson, Dave Mayton and Tyler Atkins.
