Funeral held Saturday for Robert White
Robert N. (Bob) White, age 74, of Route 2, Rockmart, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, at his home after an extended illness.
Born in Bartow County on October 19, 1904, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harrison White. He was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Marquette Cement Company.
Mr. White and his wife, the former Eula Mae Ferguson, would have observed their 56th wedding anniversary on December 17.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert Kellett, of Lizella, Ga.; four sons, Robert B. White, Eugene White, Jere F. White, all of Rockmart, and Paul White, of Cedartown; two sisters, Mrs. Will McCown, of Cedartown, and Mrs. Joe McCown, of Rockmart; one brother, Mack A. White, Sr., of Rockmart.
Eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. White were held Saturday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. at the New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Chandler officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve White, Bert White, John Kellett, James Kellett, Tim White and Mark White.
The Davis and Moss Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
