Mr. Gordon Yarbrough
Mr. Gordon Ezell Yarbrough, 94, 21 Gordon Rd., Cedartown, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007.
Mr. Yarbrough was born in Polk County, Ga. on August 7, 1913, a son of the late Dolly and Minnie Yarbrough. He owned and operated a sawmill in his earlier years and also farmed and ran a trading post. In 1967 he established Yarbrough Auto Parts. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Mrs. Alma Pope Yarbrough; sons, Mr. Franklin Yarbrough and his wife Nancy; Mr. Jr. Yarbrough and his wife Brenda; daughters, Ms. Edna Yarbrough and Ms. Linda Bradford, all of Cedartown; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Partain, Sr. officiating. Interment was held in the Yarbrough Family Cemetery.
Active pallbearers included Dwayne Yarbrough, Darryl Yarbrough, Danny Yarbrough, David Yarbrough, Lee Bradford and Darren Lee. Honorable pallbearers included Glenn Yarbrough, Dan Yarbrough, Dylan Yarbrough, Dalton Yarbrough, Ryan Scoggins, Dustin Yarbrough and Tyler Scoggins.
The Alvis Miller &: Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
