Jack W. Yarbrough, Jr.
Mr. Jack W. Yarbrough, Jr., 87, of 1996 Grady Rd., Cedartown, died
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at his residence following several months
of declining health.
Mr. Yarbrough was born in Polk County on March 31, 1921, a son of the
late Jack W. Yarbrough,Sr. and Molly Haney Yarbrough. He had lived
the greater part of his life in Polk County. He retired from Ashland Oil
Company where he had been employed as a heavy equipment operator.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Mrs. Mary Yarbrough of Cedartown;
daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Womack and her husband Terry of Cedartown;
granddaughter, Mrs. Melindy Gaiser of Cartersville.
The graveside funeral and interment services were conducted at 1 p.m.
Friday, May 2, 2008 in Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Charles Drummond
officiating. Active pallbearers included Billy Wills, Michael Wills, Dennis
Swindell, Teddy Yarbrough, Bow Cook and Danny Cook. Honorary
pallbearers included Roy Yarbrough, Preston Yarbrough, Charles Wills
and Greg Wills.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
