History of Pulaski County Court Records
Georgia Superior Court Records date back to
1809. Probate Court Records began in 1809. Marriage
records from 1810 - 1867, are in record group 216, at the Georgia State
Archives. Georgia began requiring marriages be recorded 6, December
1805, though some officials failed to record them. Marriages had to be
recorded in the Bride's county of residence. Until 1833 couples had to
obtain the consent of the Georgia Legislature to obtain a divorce. See
