Present their Honors Wm B Mitchener, David Rumph & Whitefield B Smith,
Justices of the Inferior Court & sitting as a court of ordinary.

To the Honorable the Inferior Court of said County sitting for ordinary
purposes, we the undersigned would respectfully solicit your Honorable body
to have suitable persons appointed to survey a route for a Public Road
beginning at the county line of Early & Randolph. Near Mr. Henderson's
house keeping the old Fort Gaines Road by the way of Watts Mill on the
Simochechobi Creek. Leaving the old road near Mr. Watts house thence up the
creek by the way of Terralls ponds mills crossing the aforesaid creek.
Thence a new cut route to S A P Deans, then keeping the best route to
Cuthbert going by Andrew Bass. Intersecting the Old Fort Gaines Road at or
near Doct. John G. Gilbert's plantation. Thence to the Town of Cuthbert.
This road is on the best & firmest ground for a Public Road running from
Fort Gaines to Cuthbert and will shorten the distance five miles in our
opinion, there is but few hills & them easily passed & the road is well
watered. We would respectfully solicit your Honorable body would appoint
Gabriel Smith, Philip Tinsley, Samuel Bufelow & Samuel A P Dean to be the
