mare, with thirty head of cattle. Said John Adams to pay or ???? to Wm.
Hopkins his own promissory notes due the twentyfifth day of Dec. 1841 for
$395.75 with interest from 24 Dec 1840 then the obligation to be void or
paid in full. Recorded 3 June 1840

and Martha Hopkins 27 Feb 1840. (believe David Adam had defaulted on his
original purchase of said land after selling to Martha Hopkins. Was seized
at the suit of Jasper W. Lawrence, probably original owner)

William Hopkins to Rubin Jones
This indenture made the fourth day of March eighteen hundred and forty five
between William Hopkins, executor of the last will and testament  of Martha
Hopkins deceased of the one part and Rubin Jones of said county of the other
part, whereas by the virtue of an order of the Inferior Court of Harris
County in said state while setting as a Court of  Ordinary the said Court
orders that the said William Hopkins has authority to sell for the use of
heirs and creditors, lot of land twentytwo lying and being in the nineteenth
dist. of said County of Randolph..............
