Mr. and Mrs. Cantey left Monday for South Carolina.
Willie Perry of Sycamore, was in town Monday.
Attorney Williams of Sycamore, was in town Monday.
Capt. E. D. Patterson, of Offerman, is visiting relatives in the city.
Rev. Sam P. Jones has turned detective.
Rev. Armstead preached a very interesting sermon in the Methodist church
Tuesday evening.
Mr. Charles Teagle, of Luthersville, Ga., will visit his sister, Mrs.
T. H. Thrasher, Friday.
Mr. John Jenkins showed us the largest peach Monday that we have seen
this season, it was a beautiful Elberta.
Dr. T. H. Thrasher was called to the bedside of Mrs. C. Hudson, who
was taken violently ill Monday morning.
Messrs. Davis and Barbre sold Mrs. L. O. Futch a block of Valdosta ice
which weighed 160 pounds, and she put it in a homemade refrigerator and
it lasted 17 days.
The Advance is under the management of J. W. Keys, this week, while
the editor in chief is taking in the sight of the great Tennessee Exposition.
If you cannot be saved and live in Ashburn, move out. If you cannot
be saved in the state of Georgia get out soon as possible. That's
what Bro. Flanders says, we "yell amen."
The Sabbath School teachers' union. A new organization for Ashburn,
met at the residence of Mr. J. W. Evans Wednesday afternoon. The
christian people of our town are determined to give "old nick" a hard "tussle."
The report of an accident which happened at Henderson's saw mill, a
few miles from town says that Mr. E. G. Bailey was seriously wounded by
a shattered pulley.
A telephone message for the quiet little "burg" of Sycamore, says Prof.
Clifford Grubbs, editor of the Irwin County News, has silently married
one of Colquitt's fair daughters and is off honey-mooning.
Miss Agnes Harrell, of Augusta, Ga., is the beautiful and charming little
guest of Mrs. Sallie Chapman. little Miss Agnes is certainly a bright and
intelligent little nine year old, and has no fear to travel unaccompanied,
from the distance here to her home.

Col. Forehand made a business trip to Albany Monday.
Miss Josie Jernigan began a music school at this place on Monday.
We wish her the success she so much deserves.
Judge McDowell made a flying trip to Albany last week on business.
Col. Ed. Williams is visiting home folks this week.
Mr. Geo. W. Price, one of Worth county's most progressive farmers and
family are visiting relatives in town this week.
Mr. Elec Cochran visited home folks Sunday.
Mrs. Hall and her son Finna visited her sister, Mrs. Russ on Sunday.
Mr. William Cochran and Mr. Allen, of Poulan, attended to business in
Isabella Wednesday of last week.

Lott Warren and J. A. Warren made a business trip to Irwinville Monday.
Miss Cora Royal is visiting her grandmother at Sumner this week.
Mrs. Dan Sutton is quite ill with slow fever.
Prof. L. W. Whiddon was in town Sunday.
Guess who the young man was that went to Mr. Jim Fountains' last Sunday
and the first thing he knew found himself courting a married lady. (Van
Houten says that's all right Jim.)
