1920 Union County, GA, census, Lower Young Cane District, in household
#189, LILY M. BYRD, age 18 (GA) single, and her sister, GRACY M. BYRD,
age 14 (NC) single, are listed with family, father WILLIAM S. BYRD, age
55 (NC), mother NANCY A. BYRD, age 49 (NC), brother WILLIAM L., age 22
(NC), sister LONA E. age 20 (GA), sister DELLA B., age 11 (NC) and
sister JESSIE M., age 9 (GA)."
We'd appreciate confirmation of this identification.

Martha Clement writes: "All I can
find on this couple is EFFIE NEAL, age 26 (NC) single, in the 1920
Union County, GA, census living in household #7 with father, JOHN H.
NEAL, age 66 (TN) and mother EMELINE NEAL, age 71 (NC). Unable to find
SAM NEEL in Union County in this census."
Martha Clement writes: "Later, in the 1930 Union County
census, Upper Young Cane district, ED#146, Effie Neal was listed as
wife, EFFIE HORN, age 36, with her husband/head FRED E. HORN, age
35, their daughter Janie, age 3yrs. 11mos. and son, Garnett, age 2 yrs.
2mos. Also in the same household is father-in-law, John H. Neal,
age 74. In the 1930 Fannin County, Hemp District, ED#56, there is
a SAM H. NEAL, age 44, who is listed with family: wife Jennie E.,
age 46, daughter Mildred E., age 14, and son John M., age 11.
"We’d appreciate confirmation of this information from any
descendants!"
