Hi,
I my name is Bill Clody and I am currently working very hard to put driving directions
to all of the Walker County Cemeteries on this site. I am using mapping software and
a United States Government Database called GNIS or Geographic Name Idenification
service to do this. Unfortunately there are several Cemeteries which have duplicate names such as Shaw Cemetery (there are two) and Phillips Cemetery(which there are also two of). On some of these I already have transcription or partial transcriptions of the graves. Unfortunately I have no way of identify which of the two cemeteries the actual data came from. To avoid pairing the driving directions with the wrong data. I am for the time being treating it as though there are three cemeteries. One of which I have transcription information and two to which I have driving directions. If you visit one of these cemeteries and can then identify which one the data belongs to I would appreciate your dropping me a note. Similaryly if you are a Walker County Resident and already know which is which I would similarly appreciate your passing on the message. Simply click the signature below and don't change the subject line.
