Thank you for your interest in adopting a Georgia county for the Amercian History and Genealogy Project (AHGP) and maintaining a web site for the county. There are only a few "guidelines" and they can be found at http://www.ahgp.org/about.htm . The only additional requirment for a Georgia county is to place a GA AHGP Logo on your main page with a link back to the Georgia State page at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/ (Logos and some helpful information can be found at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/logo.html)

Some of the counties already have web sites and the account will only need to be transfered. They are: BUTTS, ELBERT, FLOYD, HEARD, MERIWETHER and PAULDING. For the other counties, you will need to get your own web space.

If still interested, please e-mail and let us know what county or counties that you would like to adopt.
