Heard County History

Heard County, Georgia was created in 1830 and named for Governor Stephen Heard. The parent counties from which Heard County was organized from were Carroll, Coweta and Troup. U.S. Census reports are available for this county from 1840 to 1930. The county seat is Franklin.
