Research of Mary Tabor Griswold
My g.g.m was descended from Jacob STREIGHT who was killed when Indians attacked and whose sister or wife was Elizabeth DRAGOO. Elizabeth was kidnapped, scalped and left with a broken hip. Her son William DRAGOO was kidnapped by Indians and returned 20 years later with his Indian family to live in Monongalia. I am looking for proof of the STREIGHT descendancy and the DRAGOO connection to my g.g.mother. Rozella>Oliver, P<David<Peter<Jacob STREIGHT.
Also, in my researache of James HENRY, I read a story of a Betsey HENRY who was kidnapped & married to an Indian. I am looking for any connection to James HENRY. Her brother had this name & successfully retrieved her from an Indian family. I believe this was in Westmoreland Co., (WV.).
