After the attack on Fort Donnally, the Indians struck at Greenbriar Settlements. On one occassion they killed a man named Munday & his wife & wounded Capt. Samuel McClung. The last Greenbriar resident to die at the hands of the Indians was Thomas GRIFFITH, whose son was at the same time taken captive. Pursuing parties, however, overtook the Indians, killed one of them, and released the boy. This event took place 1780.
