Cpt Winky: I had an ancestor, Sarah Matoon, taken by Indians during the Deerfield Massagre in 1704. She was 17 years at the time and was returned in 1705 "after incredible hardship." She married Zechariah Field, an ancestor who had fought in the "Meadow Fight" trying to regain the captives. She lived until 1751.
