**Jacob Ammons, from Fairfield Co., S.C. to
Wilkes in 1794 (purchased property). In the land lottery grant list he
states he was a R. W. Sol. I have never been able to find his service. There
is a William Ammons in the records (and it could be him as I have a record
where Jacob's son, Jacob, is also listed as William). Need to prove his
service record. Any help is appreciated.
|
The DAR accepted my application based on the land lottery
grant but I
have been trying to find out more.

David
Bryan. He was born January 3, 1760 in Virginia and died in Monroe County,
Georgia on November 12, 1826. According
to family records his parents were David Bryan and Jane Brooks.
David Bryan served as a private on the Georgia Line during the Revolutionary
War and therefore was granted land in Washington County, Georgia in 1786. |
In the 1827 Land Lottery in Monroe
County, Georgia:.14th Day of Drawing - March 22: Bryan, Dorcas Wife Rev.
Soldier - Monroe County
31st Day of Drawing - April 11 Bryan, David Rev. Soldier Monroe County40th
Day of Drawing - April 21 Bryan, David Rev. Soldier Monroe County
Seems like there is something wrong with his date of death since this land
lottery was held a year after his date of death. |
