Janet K. Allen

 Janet Kay Allen, 43, of Newton died of cancer Thursday, Jan. 17, at her home. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 21, 2 p.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Chaplain Merle Smith of Skiff Medical Center in Newton officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday. Jan. 20, at Wallace Family Funeral Home where family will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials in her name may be left at the funeral home.

 The daughter of Keith Stephen and Catherine Swanson, she was born Nov. 17, 1958, in Newton. She attended Newton schools and had been a CNA at Integrated Health Services in Jasper County. She had worked for FBG as a custodian for the past six years. She married Rick Allen in 1982.

Survivors include her husband of Newton, two sons, Mark Allen of Newton and Raymond Lacey of Massachusetts, two daughters, Heather and Misty Lacey of Massachusetts, three brothers and a sister-in-law, Randy Stephen, Kenny Stephen and Bill and Nikki Stephen, all of Newton, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Jr. McCollum and Ronda and John Mudra, all of Newton and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her mother.
