Darwin Archer BAXTER
— James Darwin "Wolfman" Archer, 54, of Baxter, formerly of Newton,
died of cancer Monday. Dec. 17, at his home. Funeral
services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pence Funeral Home in Newton with Larry
Engle, friend, conducting services. Friends
may call after 9 a.m. Thursday where family will be available from 12:30 pm.
until the time of the service. Memorials will be accepted in his name. The
son of Joseph and Clair Mae Carter Archer, he was born March 13, 1947, in Cabot.
Ark, He had lived in Arkansas and moved to Newton in 1966. He married
Lana Anne Hubbard in 1986 in Des Moines. He was a construction worker and
enjoyed building things. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Luke and Lacey Archer of
Baxter, a foster son, Nathan Newfarth, three daughters and a son-in-law, Cassidy
and Joel Kaldenberg and LeJeanne Archer, all of Newton, and Sarah Hubbard of
Baxter, seven grandchildren, a brother, Derial and Deanna Archer of Little Rock,
Ark., two sisters, Carolyn Hill and Shirley Edwards, both of Little Rock, Ark.,
two foster brothers, Charles Cupp and Roger Blankenship, two foster sisters,
Lorrie Cupp and Shellie Cupp-Jones, and his mother. He
