Bessie Alice Aunspach

 Bessie Alice Aunspach, 103, of Careage of Newton Care Center died Tuesday, Dec. 4, of congestive heart failure at the care facility.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene in Newton with the Rev. Lauris Meek officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery. Pence Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Friends may call Thursday after 10 a.m. at the church where the family will be available until the time of the service. Memorials will be accepted to New Life Community Church of the Nazarene.

 The daughter of William W. and Mary E. Bowles Adams, she was born Dec. 10, 1897, in Polk City. She attended Sheldahl School. She married Ervin Gedion Aunspach in Polk City in 1925. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Community Church of the Nazarene.

 Survivors include a son, Dale Ervin of St. Louis, Mo., a daughter, Jean Trotter of Windom, Minn., four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Lottie Phipps of Boone.  

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a sister.
