MARS — Marcia Ami Birkenholz, 64, of Mars, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at Floyd
Valley Hospital in La Mars. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the
Church of the Brethren in Prairie City with the Rev. Timothy Peter and the Rev.
Eldon Cole officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Friends may call today at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars where family
will be present at 6 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m. There also will be
one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral service. Memorials
will be accepted to the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars, the
Church of the Brethren in Prairie City or the Simpson Methodist Church in Des
