Bietel Jones Nellie
Bietel Jones, 85, of 418 E. 8th St. N. died of an abdominal aneurysm Saturday.
Sept. 8, at Skiff Medical Center. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:30
a.m. at Newton Union Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Bryant officiating. Burial will
be at Union Cemetery. Wallace Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where family will be
present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary
and may be left at the funeral home. The daughter of Fred and
Blanche James Bietel, she was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Hiteman. She lived In Albia
before moving to Newton in1931. She married David Roland Jones and was a sales
clerk for several stores in Newton. She was a member of the VFW Ladles Auxiliary
and the Cooties. Survivors
include two sons, James and Gordon of Newton; three grandchildren; seven great
grand children, and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents,
