 Enid Caroline Klein

Enid Caroline Klein, 97, of Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton died Monday, Nov. 26, of congestive  heart failure. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1p.m. at the Lynnville Church of God in Lynnville with the Rev. Michael Chase officiating. Burial will be at St. Andrews Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sully. Pence Funeral Home in Newton Is handling arrangements. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where family will be available from 6;30 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to me Church of God World Missions.

 The daughter of John William and Margaret Marie Castoff Schnell, she was born Aug. 23, 1904, in rural Newton. She attended rural school near Killduff. On Aug. 11, 1926, she married Carl W. Klein in rural Killduff. She was a salesperson for several years and worked as a nurse's aide at the Grinnell Hospital.

 Mrs. Klein was a member of Lynnville Church of God, where she taught Sunday School and worked with the Missionary Prayer Band, Sully Senior Citizens and played in the Kitchen Band. She enjoyed traveling with Sully Senior Citizens Tours.

 Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Lola Klein of Newton, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Leora McCullough of Forsyth, Mo.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, sister and a grandson.
