M. Kohlstaedt Jane
M. Kohlstaedt, 54, of 109 S. 2nd Ave. E. died of cancer Saturday, Oct. 13, at
her home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home where the family will be available from 11 a.m. until the time
of the service. Memorials will be accepted in her name. The
daughter of Rexford Bertram Arnold and Leota May Meickle, she was born Dec. 24,
1946, in Detroit, Mich. She graduated from El Capitan High School, El Cajon,
Calif., in 1965. She attended San Diego City College. She lived in San Diego,
Calif., from 1956 until 1999, when she moved to Newton. She was a domestic
engineer and enjoyed collecting beanie babies and antiques. Survivors
include her husband, Steven Suter of Newton, a son, David John Suter of Newton,
one brother, Rodney Arnold of Phoenix, Ariz., and three sisters, Jackie Benolict
of Lancaster, Calif., Betsy Holland and Penny Arnold, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.
