 Ruth A. Mayfield

OMAHA, Neb. — Ruth A. Mayfield, 92, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Monroe, died Wednesday. Jan. 16, in Omaha. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe with the Rev. Harold Koughn, pastor of Monroe Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the Funeral home. Memorials will be accepted to the Monroe Library.

 The daughter of Earl Seldon and Catherine McNiesh Pendroy, she was born Feb. 11, 1909, in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School and attended Business College in Des Moines. She was a retired civil service employee and lived in Des Moines and Omaha.

 Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Paulette Mayfield of Mead, Neb., five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a nephew and a niece.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a sister and six brothers.
