E. McMahon KELLOGG ~ Richard E. McMahon,
68, of Kellogg died of a heart attack Friday, Dec. 14, at his home in Kellogg. A Vigil Service
will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev.
Phillip Cardenzana officiating. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements. Friends may call
Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and after 5 p.m. at the church
where the family will be present at the Vigil Service. Memorials will be
accepted in his name. The son of
Joseph and Elizabeth McMahon, he was
born June 10, 1933, in Newton and graduated from Newton Senior High School. He
served in the United
States Army. He married Louise Gooding in 1956 and worked as an insurance
salesman for a number of companies. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Grinnell Eagles Lodge and Elks Lodge #1270 in Newton. He was a resident
of Newton, Grinnell and had recently moved to Kellogg. Survivors
include a daughter and son-in-law Krisan and Roger Partridge of Eagan, Minn., a
step-son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Linda Trotter of Newton, seven
grandchildren, and four great-grand children. He was preceded
