Florence Marie Cool Munn

 Florence Marie Cool Munn, 92, of U.S.A. Healthcare Center died of heart failure Sunday, Dec. 16, at the care facility in Newton.

 Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pence Funeral Home In Newton with the Rev. David Wendell, senior pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Newton, officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

 Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where family will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorials will be accepted in her name. 

The daughter of Scott and Jessie Jane Allan Cool, she was born June 28, 1909, in Baxter. She graduated from Baxter High School in 1927. On July 12, 1932, she married Davey M. Munn in Papillion, Neb. She was a telephone operator in Baxter and Newton and also worked at several grocery stores.

Survivors include two nephews, C. Allan Poots and David Cool and two nieces, Joan Foots Mills and Virginia Johnson, a sister, Helen Poots of Coralville, and special friends, Don and Glenda Brown of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, a sister and a nephew.
