Harold L. Nolin

MONROE - Harold L. Nolin, 72, of Monroe died of leukemia Sunday, Dec. 23, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Koughn officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements. Friends may call today at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m.

The son of Roy and Freda Rexroat Nolin, he was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Reasnor, He graduated from Monroe High School in 1948 and on Nov. 27, 1950, he married Louise Parr in Newton. He was a farmer and worked for Jasper County FSA for many years.

 Survivors include his wife, four sons and three daughters-in-law, Allen, Roger and Bonnie and Gary and Becky, all of Monroe, and Dennis and Cheryl of Reasnor, a daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bruce Brummel of Newton, 11grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a brother, Delmar Nolin of Newton and a sister, Marjorie Farmer of Indianola.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and infant twin grandchildren.
