 Richard R, Oldham

Richard R. (Dick) Oldham, 59, of 1501 N. 11th Ave. E. died of complications of gangrene Friday, Nov. 9, at his home.

 Funeral services were held today at Wallace Family Funeral Home In Newton with Chaplain Merle Smith of Skiff Medical Center In Newton officiating. Cremation followed services.

 The son of Herman W. and Hildreth Wadle Oldham, he was born Aug. 10, 1942, in Des Moines. He was a graduate of Tech High School in Des Moines in 1960. On Feb. 7, 2000, he married Linda Burrell in Des Moines. He lived in Des Moines for 58 years.

 Mr. Oldham worked for Titan Tire Company for 30 years and recently worked far Prairie Meadows in security. He was a member of the Auburn, Masonic Lodge No. 592 A.F./A.M. in Des Moines.

 Survivors include his wife, a step-son, Vincent King of Newton, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debbie and Randy Gray, Theresa Milligan and Missie and Todd Renda, all of Des Moines, two step-daughters, Rhonda and Kathy King, both of Newton, eight grandchildren, his mother, a brother, Robert of Des Moines, and a sister, Vonnie Gibbons of San Diego, Calif.

 He was preceded in death by his father.
