 Ione Postma

 PRAIRIE CITY — Ione Postma, 102, of Prairie City, formerly of Monroe, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe with the Rev. Harold Koughn, pastor of Monroe United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials will be accepted to Clearview Manor Activity Fund.  

The daughter of Herve and Alice (Fornerod) Risewick, she was born Jan. 18, 1900, in Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1920, and on Dec. 30, 1920, she married Richard E. Postma in Knoxville. She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and attended Tool's Chapel on the Draper Road for a number of years. She lived In Newton, Knoxville, Otley, Pella, Monroe and Arizona. In 1991, she moved to Clearview Manor in Prairie City.  

Survivors include a son, Howard H. Postma of Pella, two daughters, Alice Kaldenberg of Pella and Darlene Stewart of Monroe, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son and four siblings.
