Helen G. Rexroat

PELLA — Helen G. Rexroat, 80, of Pella, formerly of 1126 W. 7th St. S., died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Pella Health Center Long Term Care in Pella. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton. Pence Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements. Memorials will be accepted in her name.

The daughter of Robert D. and Zelpha F. Russell McWhirter, she was born July 3, 1921, in Jasper County. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1938. On Aug. 11, 1940, she married Enoch Harold Rexroat near Newton. She lived in Kellogg and Newton before moving to Pella in 1996. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family.  

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Cheryl of Tacoma, Wash., Ron and Lois of Johnston and James and Deb of Kauai, Hawaii, two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Jim Conley of Newton and Joane and David Cline of rural Sully, nine grandchildren, five great-grand children, two sisters, Clarice Trotter of Newton and Alice Trotter of Garrison, Minn. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
