Mary Roseburrough

MARSHALLTOWN —Mary Roseburrough, 84, of Marshalltown, formerly of Newton, died Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services were held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Bernard Grady officiating. Burial was at the Sacred Heart Cemetery near Newton. Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown handled arrangements.

 The daughter of LeRoy and Martha Green Thompson, she was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Newton. She attended Newton High School and married Maurice Roseburrough Aug. 2, 1941, in Ackley. In 1955, they moved to Marshalltown. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown and enjoyed playing the piano for her family and friends.

 Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherry of Marshalltown, a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Arnold DuVall of Lacona, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother and a sister.
