 Billie M. Rosenberger

 Billie M. Rosenberger. 76, of 913 N. 4th Ave. W died of cancer and complications of COPD Saturday, Aug. 25, at Skiff Medical Center In Newton.

 Memorial services will be today at 7 p.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Merle Smith officiating. The body has been cremated Family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted in her name and may be left at the funeral home.

 The daughter of William McKinley and Norma Elizabeth Williams Townsend, she was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Newton. She attended Newton Schools. On Dec. 24, 1945, she married Charles E. Rosenberger in Troy, Kan. She owned and operated B and R Upholstery for 24 years out of her home, retiring in 1986. She had also worked for Hamilton's Upholstery.

 Survivors Include a son and daughter-in-law .  Mark Rosenberger and Leslie Bjelland of Newton, two  daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Mick  Drew of Newton and Tina and Vince Kono of Reasnor; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;  a brother and sister-in-law. Robert and Crystal Townsend of Kellogg; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carlene Carstens of Fountain, Colo., and Velma and Junior Ekins of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
