Howard H. Scott PRAIRIE
CITY - Howard H. Scott, 90, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, formerly of
Colfax, died Wednesday, Nov. 7. Graveside services were held Friday at Winterset
Cemetery. Collins Funeral Home in Winterset handled arrangements. Memorials will
be accepted to the family and may be sent to Ramona Miller, 20 College, Colfax
50054. The
son of John and Lillian Kibbee Scott, he was born July 31, 1911, in Foster, Neb.
He served in the 87th Mountain Infantry of the United States Army during World
War II. On Sept. 28, 1945, he married Ruth Brundage in Winterset. Mr
Scott worked at various occupations including forest ranger, lumber Jack and
inspector at Plant I of the Maytag Corporation. He retired from Maytag in 1973.
Survivors
include two daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Larry McClain of Adair and
Ramona and Glenn Miller of Colfax, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren,
two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wanda and Edwin and Clarence, all of Lincoln,
Neb., and a sister-in-law, Helen of Plainview, Neb. He
