Judy A. Byal Shea

Judy A. Byal Shea, 53, of 714 W. 8th St. N. died of complications of renal failure Saturday, Sept. 8, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Sears officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials in her name will be accepted at the funeral home.

 The daughter of Roger R. and Arlene M. Dennis Byal, she was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Newton. She graduated from Newton High School in 1965 and was a student at the Christian Life Center Bible College. She married Dan Shea on Dec. 19, 1986, in Newton. Mrs. Shea was a hair stylist for 31 years and owned and operated Hair Country for 10 years. She was a member of and a Sunday School teacher at the Christian Life Center Church and a member of the Moose Lodge and the VFW.

Survivors include her husband and a cousin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
