Smith Ralph
Smith, 59, of Newton, died Friday, Dec. 7, at Skiff Medical Center In Newton. A
prayer service was held Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell with the
Rev. Troy Stein, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Grinnell,
officiating. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. today at Highland Memorial
Garden Cemetery in Des Moines. Memorials will be accepted to Easter Seals.
The son of Walter and Gertrude Feige Smith, he
was born May 15, 1942, in Des Moines. He lived in Des Moines until 1994, when he
moved to Grinnell. He moved to Newton in 1998 and was employed by Progress
Industries. He is survived by his father. He
was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers Newton Daily News, Newton, IA, December 10, 2001. |
