 Carolyn Suplee

MONROE — Carolyn Suplee, 62, of Monroe died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Monroe Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William LeMosy, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Monroe Presbyterian Church or the PCM Endowment and Foundation.  

The daughter of David A. Sr. and Mary (Birkenholtz) Rexroat, she was born July 11, 1939, in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1958. On June 26, 1960, she married Gary L. Suplee in Monroe. She was a cook for the Monroe Elementary School and was a member of Monroe Presbyterian Church, Westminster Circle and a longtime choir member. She enjoyed embroidery work and collecting various collectable items.  

Survivors include her husband, a son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandy of Otley, a daughter and son-in-law. Lisa and Chris Tool of Monroe, six grandchildren, one brother, David Rexroat Jr. of Monroe and five sisters, Joan Acklin and Donna Rexroat, both of Monroe, Carol Rexroat of Des Moines, Charlene McCoy of Indianola and Janet Taylor of Lena, III.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.
