Kenneth W. Winegar

PRAIRIE CITY — Kenneth W. Winegar. 88, of Prairie City died from complications of surgery Thursday, Sept. 20, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City with the Rev. Adrian Eising officiating. Burial will be at Waveland Cemetery In Prairie City. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home In Prairie City is handling arrangements. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home where family will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church.

 The son of William and Ethel Frazier Winegar, he was born May 26, 1913, in Prairie City. On May 6, 1936, he married Mildred Van Dusseldorp in Prairie City. He was a farmer and a mechanic for E. M. Brubaker & Sons. Mr. Winegar was a member of the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church. He lived in the Mitchellville and Prairie City areas all his life.

 Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karla of Sully and Marvin and Maria of Altoona; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gifford of Pella, and a sister, Gladys Heernsbergen of Penrose, Colo.

 

He was preceded In death by his parents and a brother.
