The JCGS library is an excellent source for family history information. We not only have information on Jasper County, but on many other Iowa counties and other states. Refer to the wide list of resources to know what is available when you visit the library or when you write for research assistance.
Location
The JCGS Research Library is currently located at 113 West 2nd Stree South, Newton, Iowa. It is located in the brick Jasper County Archives building across the street North from the water tower south of the square. The door is located on the east side and north end of the building.
Library Hours
Thursday and Friday 10:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
1st and 3rd Saturday of each month 9:00 a.m. to noon
