Francis Shrum Dies Saturday; Rites Wednesday
Francis Charles, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Charles, died about 11:40 o'clock today at his parents home at 503 North Third avenue East, following a short illness of pneumonia. No funeral arrangements have been made.
He was injured in a sled accident last Friday, weakening his condition and developing into pneumonia.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, Ira and a sister, Mary Ellen. ~ The Newton Daily News, January 14, 1932
To Hold Charles Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services for Frances Charles, 10, will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Murdoch Funeral home by Dr. L. B. Logan, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be made in the Sugar Grove cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Charles, a sister, Mary Ellen and a brother, Ira. ~ The Newton Daily News, January 15, 1932
