Death came to Adam Germann at the home of his nephew, John Selbhers southewest of the city about 8 o'clock last evening. He had been in failing health for several months and had been confined to his bed for the last few weeks. He was born in Germany August 4, 1839 and emigrated to this country when a young man. He never married. He made his home of late years with his nephew. The funearl services will be held from the Selbhers home at 1:30 o'clock Friday aftternoon. Burial will be made in the cemetery at Metz. ~ The Newton Daily News, August 16, 1917 Note: He is an uncle to Barbara Germann Selbher, according to the 1900 Census.
