M. Hickman Dies Today
Mansfield C. Hickman, 82, died at 351 first street north at five o'clock this morning. He had been ill for over a year and confined to his bed for the past two months suffering from diabetes.
He was formerly employed as a farmer near Metz where he resided most of his life.
Surviving are his two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Hickman of Des Moines; Mrs. Lilly Schwartz of Pueblo, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Retta Darling of Pleasantville, Ia.
Funeral services will be held at the Morgan Funeral home at 2 o'clock Sunday with the Rev. Frank M. Blish officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove cemetery. ~ The Newton Daily News, Dec. 13, 1941.
