They emigrated to the US in 1856 on the Henry Reed -- the same boat that
brought my ancestors here.  They were from the same village in Germany and
we're distant relatives.  I have extensive information on their ancestors
which I'd be happy to share with them

On-line census info indicates that they ended up in Linn County (their
relatives ended up in Chicago).
